Amadeus, Opening September 24th!

Now that things are started and running here on the blog, let me tell you about the first show of the 76th Season, Peter Shaffer’s theatrical epic, “Amadeus”

  (Artwork coming soon!)

“Amadeus” for those who might not know is the story of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as told through the Viennese court composer Antonio Salieri. I could tell you about it, but Wikipedia will do a better job than I ever could: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amadeus

Brian Touchette is directing “Amadeus” for Chapel Street. CSP audience’s will remember Brian as 1/2 of the directing team of last Season’s “California Suite” or as the director of 2008’s June FUNdraiser, “Little Shop of Horrors”. Brian has a wealth of theatrical knowledge to assist him (as a former member of the University of Delaware’s “HTAC” and a former president of CSP as well) and there’s little doubt for anyone at CSP that we couldn’t pick a better duo than Peter Shaffer and Brian Touchette to open the 76th season.

I’ll post more information soon, like a cast list and rehearsal photos (and even a few photos from the set!) and I’m sure Mr. Ron Ozer (who’s cast in the show) will be contributing here soon enough (like I can keep him from posting things online!), so stay tuned!
