Longer synopsis:

“Comic Potential” is the story of an ambitious, young writer who falls
in love with a robotic actress. While the setting may be futuristic, the
universal emotions of infatuation, heartbreak and love hold true no matter
what decade human beings inhabit. The show examines the effects that art
can have on bringing people together and the ways that love can sometimes
overcome any obstacle, including fiber-optic circuitry. Buster Keaton, spit
takes, sleazy hotels and televised soap operas all combine to create a
future world that is still very much like our own.

Directed by Joseph Pukatsch (“Talk Radio”, “The Dirty Old Man”)
